YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED . . . AMERICAN LUTHERAN SCHOOL SUNDAY!
Save the Date! Sunday, January 26 at American Lutheran Church. We would love for your family to join us as we show off our preschoolers and thank the congregation for all their support of our great school. Your students will be singing at our 10:30 church services and then are invited to a special Sunday school time downstairs. We will have fun games, crafts and snacks for them while parents enjoy either our contemporary or traditional church service. Watch for a special invitation with an RSVP form. Hope to see you there!
SAFETY MONTH: January is safety month at American Lutheran School. We will be talking about all types of people who help to keep us safe. If we have any parents who are in the safety field and would like to come speak to their students’ class please talk with your teacher to schedule a time – we would LOVE it! Special guest, Firefighter Tim Snyder, will be doing a presentation on fire safety.
We will also be practicing a "quiet drill". A quiet drill is a safety procedure we will be working on with your students based on recommendations from the Prescott Police Department on what to do and where it go in the case of an emergency where we cannot leave the building.
DRESSING FOR COLD WEATHER: Please dress your child warmly in coats, hats and mittens on cold mornings because we take the students outdoors almost every day. We believe that children need fresh air, sunshine and physical activity. Please label all coats with your child’s name. When the temperature is below 30 degrees, we will keep children inside for other activities.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES: These will be held February, 4-7 (Tue – Fri) Sign-ups will be available at the end of January. Please note that there is NO LUNCH BUNCH 2/4 - 2/7 so teachers can meet with parents.
