SAFETY MONTH:
January is safety month at American Lutheran School. Special guests, The K-9 unit from the Prescott Police Department and Chief Firefighter Tim Snyder from Central Arizona Fire will visit us to talk about safety.
LUNCH & LIBRARY
The 3-day classes will be concluding their Raising a Reader program with an indoor picnic lunch at the school and library tour at the Prescott Public Library. Please be sure you have turned in your RSVP and library application.
11:30 am Meet us at the school with your picnic lunch.
12:00 pm Depart for the Prescott Public Library.
Story time, library tour and check out books with our very own library cards!
Our 2 day and Pre K classes will participate in the Raising a Reader program beginning in February. Watch for more information soon.
LITTLES AND FRIENDS PROGRAM
Our Pre K students have been invited to visit our friends at Good Samaritan Village every other month for crafts and games. Please watch your parent folder for a permission slip. We can’t wait to get to know our new friends!
DRESSING FOR COLD WEATHER:
Please dress your child in coats, hats, and mittens on cold mornings. We play outside every day for fresh air, sunshine, and physical activity. Please label all items with your child’s name. When the temperature is below 30 degrees, we will keep children inside for other activities. Please be sure you are familiar with our snow day/delay policy which is in the handbook.
PARENT / TEACHER CONFERENCES IN FEBRUARY:
February 5,6,8,9. Sign-ups through ivolunteer will be available mid-January.
Please note that there is NO LUNCH BUNCH on the conference dates so that teachers can meet with parents. Childcare will be available during your 20 minute conference for students and siblings.
