Thank you! We are off to a great start of our school year. Your students are learning so much already! Be sure to check your parent folder EVERYDAY. We are headed into the busy Holiday season, and we do not want you to miss anything. We really appreciate your students arriving on time for school. It helps make the day run much more smoothly!

Parent Helpers: Please see Lori in the office if you can help with either of these projects.

1) On Thursday, 10/6, We could use 2 parents to help distribute flower bulbs to the classrooms.

2) We are looking for a Craft Night Committee to begin now to plan and prep 4 preschool crafts for our Christmas Craft Night on Wed Dec 7th.

Raising a Reader (RAR): This is an early literacy book lending program to promote a love of reading in your children. Our 3 day students will participate in this program Oct – Jan and the 2 day and Pre K students will participate Feb – May. Watch your parent folders for more info – you are going to LOVE Red Bag Days!

Pumpkin Patch: Each class will walk to the Las Fuentes’ Park “Pumpkin Patch” to hunt for pumpkins and celebrate autumn. Families are welcome to join us on this walk, but we do not have extra pumpkins for siblings. Watch for a permission slip in the parent folder.

Pumpkin Carving with Dad: All fathers, grandfathers and other special men are invited to join us for our traditional pumpkin carving night on Wed, Oct 26, 5:30 pm. Don’t worry Moms, we will send you pictures 😊 BE SURE TO BRING YOUR OWN PUMPKIN, CARVING TOOLS, AND SENSE OF HUMOR! Treats and Photos included

Costume Parade and Party: Your child may wear a costume to school the day of their parade and party. PLEASE choose happy (NO VIOLENT OR SCARY) costumes and ABSOLUTELY NO MASKS OR HOODS that cover faces. You may use face paint instead. Please make sure the costume will keep them warm and allows your child to go to the bathroom by themselves. Our parade will be outdoors and pass by Samaritan Village to show off our costumes. Families and siblings are welcome to join in this parade. The preschool office is collecting candy donations. Please drop off wrapped candy by Monday Oct 24 if you would like to contribute. Each teacher will have a signup sheet with information about the Harvest Party.
