Mrs. Dawn Perlak
Dawn grew up in Central Wisconsin, where she met, and later married, her high school sweetheart, Kevin. After a couple years in Phoenix, she and Kevin moved to Prescott, where they had their daughter, Alyxandra.
Alyx attended ALS, where Dawn became a volunteer, and was inspired to follow her dream of becoming a teacher. She was hired as an aide the next year, which transitioned into a teaching position. Thirteen years later, Dawn is proud to still call American Lutheran School her home away from home, because teaching in a Christian Preschool helps to give the children an excellent foundation for growth and development in their spiritual journey.
She loves working with preschoolers because it gives her the chance to teach learning through play and exploration, which is one of the things that motivated her to return to school, and in the spring of 2014, was awarded her Degree of Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education.
In her spare time, Dawn enjoys hiking, running, motorcycling with her husband, and anything that involves her family.
